The Town of Carrboro is hosting an Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 4, 2026. It will take place at Carrboro Town Commons from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with pre-event activities at Weaver Street Market starting at 9:30 a.m. At 9:30 a.m. the kickoff event will take place at Weaver Street Market. Then at 10:50 a.m., the People's Parade will take place, led by the Bulltown Strutters, ending up at Town Hall. The main event takes place at Town Hall Commons and then concludes at the Century Center. See details below. The Town of Carrboro does not have a fireworks display. At Weaver Street Market 101 East Weaver Street, Carrboro, NC9:30 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. Pre-event activities start at 9:30 a.m. There will be a bike/wagon decorating contest, along with the costume contest for kids. At 10:50 a.m., the Bulltown Strutters will lead the People's Parade to the Carrboro Town Hall for the main event. 9:30 a.m. – July 4th Activities Begin 9:45 a.m. – Designing & Decorating Booths (Patriotic Tattoos, Hat Making & Decorating, Patriotic Flag Coloring, Bike & Wagon Decorating) 10 -10:15 a.m. – Registration for Costume Contest 10:30 a.m. – Costume Contest Winners Announced 10:40 a.m. – Parade Assembly on E.
