Downtown Garner is kicking off its outdoor concert series, Groovin' in Garner, on Friday, May 15, 2026, with Rockzilla. Groovin' in Garner takes place on the Garner Recreation Center lawn, 215 W Main Street, Garner, North Carolina, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. It's free to attend. Food trucks will be on site, or you can purchase dinner from one of the Downtown Garner restaurants. Beer and wine will be availalble for purchase within the festival area, starting at 5 p.m. May 15: Rockzilla Photo courtesy of Rockzilla Downtown Garner Association is kicking off the 2026 Groovin’ in Garner concert season with a bang as 80s rock band Rockzilla hits the stage!The event includes an 80s Theme Contest! So, grab your leg warmers, leather jackets, and biggest hair ever and show off what you've got! Food vendors: Carolina Moe's BBQ Flippin' Wings George's Authentic South Philly Steaks LAMI Filipino Monique's Rollin' Stove Vendors: Banks Bed and Breakfast, Garner Area Historical Society, In Your Face, Integrity Storage, Lemon Drop Lemonade, LillyRo, NC Quick Pass, Neenee's Craft Shack, Pistol Penny's Popcorn, Poole Family YMCA, Rescue Treats, Squeaky Clean Luxurious Soaps, Swift Creek Giftworks, Tiel Treasures Shop, Wisp Candle Studio Groovin' in Garner Schedule May 15: Rockzilla June 18: Jim Quick and Coastline August 21: EnVision September 18: Kyle Mullins and Robert Hunter Adult Beverages No outside alcohol or coolers will be permitted during the event, but beer, wine, cocktails will be available for purchase at Zin Yoga Studio and Wine Lounge and Shady's Bar. Grab a drink-to-go and enjoy the social district. Alcohol vendors manage their own alcohol sales and are responsible for identification checks as required by law. Parking Free parking is available along several side streets and parking lots in downtown Garner, the Lions Club, and at Garner Baseball.
