Invasive Plant Removal Workday

Volunteers will help manually remove invasive species- such as Japanese stiltgrass, English ivy, and Japanese honeysuckle - from the wooded area near the lake trail entrance. No herbicides will be used; all removal will be done by hand (e.g., pulling vines, digging out roots). Gloves and tools (clippers and shears) will be provided, though you’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Please wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and closed toed shoes. We recommend that you wear breathable, long-sleeved pants and shirts. Please be aware that poison ivy / oak may be present in the work area. We will provide water, vests, gloves, tools, sunscreen, and bug spray. First aid will be available on site if needed.
