<p>Is there life out there beyond Earth's boundaries?</p> <p>Join the Maker + STEAM team to explore 5 drop-in stations about space research on what life beyond Earth might be like if it did exist. In these stations, you can:</p> <ul> <li>Explore the surface of Mars through 3D printed models from images the Viking Orbiters took</li> <li>Research and design an example of what life on Mars might be like if it exists</li> <li>Sort planetary objects in gas giants or rocky planetoids</li> <li>Decorate a 3D printed UFO spinner</li> <li>Experience visual projection through a Pepper's Ghost experiment</li> </ul> <p><em>This program is drop-in, no registration required. Please join us between 4:30 and 5:30pm in the Innovation Lab on 3rd floor of Main Library. This event is for all ages; children under age 11 must be accompanied by an adult. </em></p> <p>This program is a precursor to the <a href="https://durhamcountylibrary.libcal.com/event/15849989">Aliens! It's (almost) Never Aliens! program</a> occurring in the Main Auditorium from 6-7:30pm. Meet Brand Fortner, the presenter, during this earlier program to ask questions, then listen to his presentation in the auditorium at 6pm!
