Program for teens in grades 6-12.Are you intrigued by the unknown and the strangeness of the world that we live in? Or interested in challenging your understanding of perception, dreams, memory, and consciousness? In this workshop led by NC State student instructors, we will explore writing towards magical realism, absurdism, and surrealism. Using excerpts from classic texts like The Metamorphosis--and more contemporary ones too--we will delve into devices and themes of the unreal as a means of self-expression and self-exploration. Together we will write into the unknown!
