The Beaver Queen Pageant is very popular annual Durham event at Duke Park. Specifically, it will be at Duke Park Meadow, which is at the corner of Englewood Avenue and Acadia Street, 1608 Acadia Street, Durham, North Carolina. The pageant will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. It's a special mix of folly, pageantry and humor, and friendly competition, as people vote for their favorite contestants by donating to Keep Durham Beautiful and Friends of Ellerbe Creek. Contestants take on beaver personalities and compete for the title of Beaver Queen with their fashion, talent, and personality. The theme for the 22nd Annual Beaver Queen Pageant is "Beaver Rivalry." Join the fun on June 6th in Duke Park with a preshow at 4 p.m. with music by Maxine Eloi and the pageant at 5 p.m. Wearing a costume or crafted beaver tail is optional but encouraged. There will be music, the Poetry Fox, Scrap Exchange craft table, food trucks, and much more! This free, family-friendly event raises funds for Keep Durham Beautiful and Friends of Ellerbe Creek. Costumes are welcome!
