Family Field Day is a FREE outdoor play festival featuring classic field day games, a kid-friendly try-athlon, music and nonstop family fun. It takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the outdoor Marbles Playway, 201 East Hargett Street, Raleigh, North Carolina, and Moore Square. Museum admission is not included. Activities at Family Field Day The try-athon isn’t your average race, it’s a celebration of play! Run it. Walk it. Dance it. Try out new ways to move through the course. Take part in classic field day activities like three- legged race, egg & spoon walk, family freeze dance, stroller games and more.
