A free market is different than a vendor market or a flea market, because everything is (really) free. No money is exchanged and there's no bartering or trading. Everything is given away freely. If you have stuff you'd like to give away, you can bring it. (Just make sure to take away anything that's not taken at the end of the market.) If you want or need stuff, just take it. You can offer free services too. Haircuts, guitar lessons, etc. There are several free markets held regularly in the Triangle region of North Carolina. We keep them on the Triangle on the Cheap calendar. Read about a few of them below. Make sure to follow the links to check for updates in the schedule.
