We get a lot of requests from parents about summer camps in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and surrounding areas, so we’ve put together a list of resources for you to explore. It’s important to know that registration for some of the camps happens early, and spots can fill up quickly. So, research in advance so you know what you want to sign your child up for when the time comes. You’ll find many more camps there, including at schools, YMCA, churches and more. The church camps are usually the least expensive. Although we’re not including information on the many, many church camps and Vacation Bible Schools, due to the sheer number of them, they are a great choice for budget-conscious parents. Summer Camps in Raleigh and Wake County City of Raleigh Summer Camps The City of Raleigh offers a huge number of summer camps for kids. They take place at community centers, parks, nature preserves, and some schools. Registration starts on February 16, 2026. More information. Camp Chillin This is a full-day, week-long camp at Polar Ice in Cary, Raleigh and Wake Forest , for kids age 6-12. Summer Camp includes fun weekly themes, off ice outdoor games, arts and crafts, scavenger hunts and more, as well as skating. North Carolina Museum of Art North Carolina Museum of Art's summer camps introduce kids to a variety of art forms, like drawing, painting, sculpture and more. Each week long camp is different. The cost is $350/camp for members and $375/camp for non-members. More information. Artspace Summer Camps ArtSpace offers half-day arts camps for kids in grades 1-12 at its location at 201 E Davie Street, Raleigh, from June to August.
