Join conservation biologist Richard Joyce of the Xerces Society for an engaging evening exploring the fascinating world of fireflies. The program begins with a brief outdoor introduction on their ecological importance, the value of natural darkness, and tips for observing them, followed by a guided experience in the garden to watch fireflies and learn about their behavior and habitat. Children are welcome with an accompanying adult, and participants are encouraged to dress comfortably for an evening outdoors.
