Jess Duggan Photography (Cary/Apex) β Affordable and talented. Great with kids who won't sit still (so, all kids). Mini sessions start around $200. Full sessions from $350.
Studio-Based
Evergreen Studios (North Raleigh) β A bright, airy studio space with multiple backdrops. Great for milestone sessions (6 months, first birthday, cake smash). Packages from $300-$600.
Budget-Friendly Options
Mini Sessions
Many Triangle photographers offer seasonal mini sessions (typically 15-20 minutes) for $150-$250 with 10-15 edited digital images. Watch for these in spring (azalea season) and fall (October-November). JC Penney Portraits and Shoott (app-based, pay per photo) are even more budget-friendly options.
Photography Students
UNC, Duke, and NC State all have photography students looking to build portfolios. Check campus job boards or local photographer Facebook groups. Expect to pay $50-$150 for a session. Quality varies but you can find real talent.
