Holly Springs Aquatics Center
The Holly Springs Aquatics Center (1201 Holly Springs Rd) is the crown jewel for families. There's a lazy river, water slides, a zero-entry pool perfect for toddlers, and lap lanes. Day passes are $5 for residents, $8 for non-residents (kids under 3 free). Summer hours are Monday-Saturday 10 AM - 8 PM, Sunday 1 PM - 6 PM. Bass Lake Park (300 Bass Lake Rd) is gorgeous. There's a paved trail around the lake (about 1.5 miles, stroller-friendly), a beautiful playground, and fishing piers. My kids love throwing bread to the turtles (bring stale bread!). The Bass Lake Retreat Center hosts seasonal family events β their fall festival and holiday celebrations are free and really well done.Best Parks and Playgrounds
Womble Park (300 Womble Park Lane) has one of the newest playgrounds in Holly Springs β great equipment for all ages, plus a large open field and walking trails.
Sugg Farm Park (2540 Sugg Farm Lane) is a hidden gem. There's a farmhouse, trails through the woods, a community garden, and seasonal events. The Holly Springs Farmers Market sets up here Saturdays from 8:30 AM - 12 PM, April through October.
Parrish Womble Park is another excellent option with a shaded playground and paved greenway connection.
Indoor Activities for Rainy Days
The Holly Springs Cultural Center (300 W Ballentine St) hosts kids' theater performances, art exhibits, and craft workshops. Show tickets for kids' performances are typically $5-10.
Holly Springs Community Library has an excellent children's section with free storytimes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 AM.
For active play, Holly Springs Athletic Club offers family swim sessions and kids' sports camps.
