Shopping Tips
Support Local Year-Round
Many holiday market vendors have permanent shops, Etsy stores, or websites. If you find a maker you love, follow them on social media and support them throughout the year. The holiday market is just the introduction β these are people building small businesses right here in our community, and they deserve our support all twelve months.
Holiday Market Calendar (Typical Timeline)
Start a list of who you need to buy for and what your budget is before you go. Markets are magical but they can also be budget-busting if you wander in without a plan. That said, the handmade scarf you buy from a Durham artisan will mean more than anything from a big-box store.
